  Originally founded as the Department of Computing in 2001, this School
is the backbone of the Dahongying University. This discipline trains IT professionals with both academic knowledge and industry-accepted skills to meet the ever growing demand for suitably trained personnel. The courses are designed to
ensure students receive education that is inclusive of the latest information and meets the needs of the ever changing requirements. Hangzhou the capital of Zhejiang Province is the center of the IT industry in China, and the demand for suitably trained graduates in the province is currently limitless.

  The coursework is augmented with practical skills facilitated by use of up to
date computer labora-tories, including a high speed LAN networking laboratory,
and modern multi media applications. A philosophy of continuous improvement and personal professional development has ensured that the teaching staff keep their skills current and address the educational needs of the students. The School offers raining in line with international standards.

  The School has a strong research program, publishing a significant number of books and articles in their fields of expertise. Individuals have received a number of coveted prizes for teaching achievements and the School has completed several IT projects in conjunction with local industry. Additionally, many students have attained awards and recognition for their knowledge in this field.

  Currently the School offers three diplomas, but this will be extended to include
a four year Computer Science Degree in September, 2008. The aim is to produce high quality IT professionals and specifically addresses the areas of networking, database design and administration, ERP, website design and construction and small business applications. Previous graduates from the School have been praised for their professional abilities and working styles.

  Furthermore, the School has established a Service Center for the University, providing and supporting the administrative IT systems for the day to day running of the University.
